She was born on August 23, 1984 as Rukayat Akinsanya. She studied at Lagos State University. She began her acting career in 2004 when she was an undergraduate and continued as soon as she graduated from school.
She is a cousin to the popular actor and director, Bolanle Ninalowo. She is popularly known for her ravishing beauty and fashion sense. She has featured in numerous movies and also produced many of hers. She is now one of the award-winning actresses in Nollywood.
