The categories of workers who are prone to asbestos include builders, plumbers, electricians, welders, asbestos miners, automotive industry workers and textile workers.

Sometimes mesothelioma can be connected to previous radiotherapy to the chest.

Types of mesothelioma

Pleural mesothelioma

Peritoneal mesothelioma

This is the other main type of mesothelioma and it is less common in the society. It accounts for about 10% of all cases. It gets erupted in the lining of the abdomen.
