How To Dress To Fit Your Body Shape

Whenever you step into a store, you stare at a dress covetously thinking of where to wear it to, how to pair it, the style and every other thing possible... You think you understand your body shape and the dressing that suits your body type. You try the dress on with the hope that it will fit your body type but unfortunately, the dress looks so odd on you. This is one of the shopping experience you go through basically because the dress is not for your body type. Most ladies are naive of the fact that we have to dress in accordance to our body shapes.

It is very paramount to understand your body type and know the basis which are the bust, waist and hip. Body silhouette is the same as body type which would be analyzed in this post. Now, let's start from the basics and discuss all it takes to dress in accordance.

Use a cloth tape other than a metal one. Do not let the tape be too tight or loose but in a snug at point where it might slip, it will actually slip but hold on to the tape and take the accurate measurement.

Bust

There is need to measure the fullest part of your bust, and this can be done by placing one end of the tape at the fullest part and wrapping it around from under the shoulders to return to where you started. You must stand straight before you do this. Having done this, you now have your bust size. Do not allow the tape to squish your bre@sts, ensure the tape sticks to your chest end to end.

Waist

If you really desire to have the accurate measurement of this, you need not to suck your stomach in because this will deprive you of accuracy. Make a start at the slimmest part of your waist below the rib cage and above the belly button. That region is always the natural waistline. Wrap your tape round your stomach and return to where you initially started. If you are the type who enjoys placing clothes below the belly button, then you should take that more into consideration.

Hip

Start measuring from one side of the hip and take it from the rear towards the other side. Begin to measure the circumference of the fullest part of your buttocks to get the full measurement of your hips. Be in front of a standing mirror so that the tape will level up through your hips.

BODY TYPE

Literally, your body type implies the outline of your structure. The understanding of your body type helps you to be able to pair your clothes fabulously, tweaking them in your personal style. This idea helps greatly to ensure your dresses fit perfectly and to enhance your look for an improved appearance. Whether you are slim, short, tall, curvy do not really determine your body type but your body parts determine that.

If you want to be sure about your body type, you can use your vitals as the basis. With that, you can look at the math and be able to determine the body type.
