BENEFITS OF STEAMING TO YOUR SKIN

  • Circulation of blood flow. The usage of warm steam with increase in perspiration dilates the blood vessels and increases the circulation of blood. When the blood flow is well circulated, it delivers oxygen and in return nourishes the skin leaving your skin in a natural healthy glow.

TECHNIQUES OF STEAMING

Steaming using towel or sink
With this method, you will have to get a chair or stool that offers the appropriate height to your sitting position. Place 4 to 6 cups of water to a boil depending on the size of bowl or sink that you will be using. After the water has been put to boil, then reduce the heat and simmer for some minutes. Add essential oils if are using any. Take your seat, hold your face 6 inches above the water, you can raise or lower your head above the water as much as you want the heat. Then use your towel to cool off. Steaming of face should always be between 5 to 10 minutes.

Steaming with warm towel
Soak a hand towel in hot water or turn on the hot water tap, then add your herbs to the water. Keep your hair off cleansing your face and neck with a gentle cleanser. Now, wring out your hot towel and place on your face, ensure the towel covers the entire face, then relax for 5 minutes.
